1. What these terms are
Orgami is a shared organiser for families: tasks, calendar, shopping, recipes, loyalty cards, vouchers, warranties, documents and official documents, and location. It is available on Android and on the web (orgamiapp.ch).
These terms set out the rules for using Orgami. By creating an account, you accept them. The privacy policy explains how your data is processed.
Orgami is published by Julien Gomes (developer account ‘CraftTools’), canton of Vaud, Switzerland. Contact: contact@orgamiapp.ch.
2. Your account
- A personal account can be created from the age of 16. Younger children use Orgami with a parent’s consent; the parent gives them the family code and remains responsible for their use of the app.
- An account belongs to one person only. The account information must be accurate, in particular your email address, which is used to log in and to recover your password.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what is done with your account.
3. Families
- Each account belongs to a family. The person who creates the family is its owner: they can remove members, change the invitation code, transfer ownership and delete the family.
- All members see what is added to the family, children included, except the ‘Personal’ list and ‘Only me’ calendars. All members can edit and delete the family’s items. A deleted item stays in the bin for 30 days.
- The invitation code gives access to the whole family: only share it with people you trust. If a code has been passed around, change it.
- If you leave a family, what you added to it stays with the family.
4. What you add
- You remain the owner of what you add. You only authorise Orgami to store it and to display it to the people concerned (your family), for as long as the service requires.
- You are responsible for what you add. It is forbidden to add illegal content, content that infringes the rights of others, or other people’s data without being entitled to do so.
- Orgami does not monitor families’ content. Manifestly illegal content reported to contact@orgamiapp.ch may be removed.
- It is forbidden to disrupt the service, to attempt to access another family’s data, or to use Orgami for commercial purposes without permission.
5. The free version and the VIP Pass
Orgami is free and has no advertising. The free version includes, in particular: 3 accounts per family, 5 warranties, 20 recipes, 5 recipe imports per week and 25 MB of photos and documents.
The VIP Pass adds, in particular: up to 10 accounts, official documents, imported calendars, expiry reminders for official documents and warranties, ‘Where are you?’ location and 250 MB of photos and documents. The up-to-date list is shown in the app (Settings › VIP Pass).
Price and payment
- Three options: 1.90 CHF a month, 12 CHF a year or 29.90 CHF for life. The price that applies is the one shown by Google Play at the time of purchase (it may be converted into your currency).
- Payment is made through Google Play, under its terms. The VIP Pass applies to the whole family of the person who buys it.
- If the person who pays changes family, the VIP Pass goes with them: the former family goes back to the free version.
- If the person who paid deletes their account, the family keeps the Pass until the end of the period already paid for or, for a lifetime purchase, for as long as Orgami is offered. A subscription must first be cancelled in Google Play, otherwise it continues to be charged.
Monthly and yearly subscriptions
- They renew automatically at the end of each period, at the current price, until you cancel them.
- You can cancel them at any time in Google Play (Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions). The VIP Pass stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
- Deleting your account or the app does not cancel the subscription: cancel it in Google Play first.
- A price change is announced in advance by Google Play, which asks for your consent when the law or its rules require it.
‘Lifetime’ purchase
Paid once, it applies to the family of the person who bought it, for as long as Orgami is offered. If Orgami were ever to shut down, the publisher would let you know at least 3 months in advance.
Refunds
Refunds follow Google Play’s rules, subject to the rights guaranteed to you by law. If there is a problem, write to contact@orgamiapp.ch.
Going back to the free version
When the VIP Pass ends, nothing is deleted: items already created remain visible, and only additions beyond the free limits and the VIP features are blocked.
6. What Orgami is not
- Not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 144 (ambulance), 117 (police), 118 (fire brigade) or 112.
- Not a surveillance tool. Location only works with the consent of the person being located, and may be unavailable (phone switched off, no signal or no permission). It must not be used to monitor someone without their knowledge.
- Not a safe for originals. Keep the originals of your important documents: Orgami keeps a handy copy of them.
7. Availability and changes to the service
Orgami does its best to keep the service available and the data protected, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation (maintenance, a provider outage, loss of network). The features and limits of the free version may change. Features included in a VIP Pass already paid for are not withdrawn during the paid period.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher of Orgami is not liable for indirect damage, for data loss due to an external cause, or for the use that members of a family make of the information shared between them. This limitation does not apply in the case of intentional misconduct or gross negligence, nor to consumers’ mandatory rights.
9. Trademarks and logos
The names and logos of the brands (shops, loyalty programmes…) offered in Orgami belong to their owners. They are used only to help you recognise your cards and vouchers. Orgami is not affiliated with any of these brands and is neither sponsored nor endorsed by them. A brand that wishes to have its logo removed can write to contact@orgamiapp.ch.
The Orgami name, its logo and the app belong to their publisher. The open-source software and data used are listed on the Licences page.
10. Ending your use
- You can stop using Orgami and delete your account at any time (see Delete your account).
- In the event of a serious breach of these terms (illegal content, attempting to access other families’ data, abuse of the service), the publisher may suspend or delete the account concerned, letting you know first where possible.
11. Changes to the terms
These terms may change, for example for a new feature or a change in the law. The new version is published on this page with its date. A significant change will be announced to you in the app at least 30 days before it comes into effect. It does not reduce what is included in a VIP Pass already paid for, for the current period or for a lifetime purchase. If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription, stop using Orgami and delete your account.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. If you are a consumer and live outside Switzerland, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
In the event of a dispute, first write to contact@orgamiapp.ch to look for a solution together. The courts of the canton of Vaud have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you can also bring proceedings before the court of your domicile, and an action against you can only be brought before that court.
