An Android phone and your Google account (the one you use in the Play Store). It takes five minutes.
Installing Orgami
- Join the testers’ group Open the group page with the button below, sign in with the same Google account as in your Play Store, then tap ‘Join group’. The group is only there to give you access: no messages are sent to it, and the other members can’t see your address.
Join the group - Accept the test Open the test page with the button below (with the same Google account), then tap ‘Become a tester’. Google then shows ‘You are a tester’.
Open the test page - Install the app On that same Google page, tap the link to Google Play just below this message (‘download it on Google Play’), then ‘Install’.
Does the Play Store show ‘Item not found’? It is probably using another Google account: tap your photo (or your initial) in the top right, choose the account you joined the group with (if it isn’t there: ‘Add another account’), then try again. If it still doesn’t work, wait an hour or two: Google sometimes takes a little while to give you access.

- Bring your family along Does the person you live with have an Android phone? Send them the link to this page: they first need to become a tester too (steps 1 to 3) to be able to install the app, and they count among the 12 testers. Then they join your family with your code (Settings › My family › Invite someone).

With an iPhone, you join the family from the browser, on orgamiapp.ch. Settings open when you tap your initials, in the top right.
During the test
- Stay signed up for at least 14 days and keep the app installed: that’s what Google checks before allowing the release.
- Use it as you would in real life, no need to try everything. A few ideas: sharing the shopping list with someone, a loyalty card scanned and shown at the till, an appointment in the calendar, a task with a due date (you’ll get a reminder), a recipe imported from a link.
- What you add is kept: at the official release, the app carries on as normal, without losing anything.
- The VIP Pass is free for your family throughout the test and for up to 3 months after the release: up to 10 accounts, official documents, location, imported calendars, it’s all there to try. We activate it within a few days of your family being created (not active after a few days? write to us). After that, your family goes back to the free version without losing anything, unless you get the Pass.

Frequently asked questions
I have an iPhone
The iPhone app will come later. In the meantime, you can use Orgami in the browser at orgamiapp.ch, for example to join the family of someone close to you who is testing. You don’t count among the 12 testers required by Google, but you’re still helping.
Does it cost anything?
No. Orgami is free and has no ads. The optional VIP Pass adds features and more space for the whole family. During the test and for up to 3 months after the release, you don’t have to buy anything: the VIP Pass is free for tester families.
I want to stop
Go back to the test page and tap ‘Leave the program’. To delete your account as well, follow these steps.
